Grey’s Anatomy Season 10: Interns Upgraded to Series Regulars — Except Tina Majorino!

The Grey’s Anatomy cast just got a little bigger. Ahead of the Season 10 premiere this fall, four out of five interns have been upgraded to series regulars!

TVLine reports that Camilla Luddington (Jo), Gaius Charles (Shane), Jerrika Hinton (Stephanie), and Tessa Ferrer (Lea) have officially signed on for the new season. Unfortunately, Tina Majorino (Heather) has a previous commitment with TNT’s Legends, so she doesn’t have a fancy new contract.

However, that doesn’t mean that she’s gone for good. Who knows what Shonda Rhimes & Co. will write for the interns. Though they received mixed feedback in Season 9 for lackluster storylines and taking the focus away from the core cast members, we’re sure the writing team will step it up with them this fall.

This (hopefully) means that Jo and Alex will get some semblance of a happy ending, rather than Karev having his heart broken again. Fingers crossed that he can catch a break this season!

Are you excited that the interns are staying, or do you wish they would have been cut from the cast? Sound off below!
