Grey’s Anatomy Season 10 Premiere: Does Richard Die?

Grey's Anatomy Season 10 premieres tonight with an epic two-hour event, and one of the biggest questions on everyone's mind is: Will Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) survive the night?

When we last saw him in the Season 9 finale, Richard was passed out in the generator room. Based on the first two minutes of the episode, we know he's still there when things pick back up. Will the other docs discover him in time to save his life?

Well, based on this sneak peek we know intern Heather does find him — only to rush forward to try to save him and get herself electrocuted instead. Great. Smooth move, Mousey. Now we have two docs in danger.

While certain spoilers suggest the chief (sorry Owen, Richard will always be the chief to us) is going to be a-OK (or at least not dead), we couldn't know until the episode aired. But, of course, things did turn out as we thought. After a stressful two hours featuring a lot of screaming and arguing over the best way to treat him, Richard opened his eyes. Yay!

Find out more about what happened with our full recap.

Are you glad Richard lived? Sound off in the comments below!
