Dancing With the Stars 2013: Elizabeth Berkley’s Mom Says Daughter Doesn’t Have Advantage
While Season 17 of Dancing With the Stars is chock-full of popular celebrities, there are also a few seasoned dancers in the midst. Elizabeth Berkley’s mom spoke out about her daughter’s chances at taking home the coveted mirror ball trophy, saying she doesn’t have an advantage.
Jere, Elizabeth’s mother, told RadarOnline that she and Elizabeth’s father have always supported their daughter’s dancing dreams, entering her into classes at age 5. If you do the math, that means she’s been training for 36 years!
“Oh honey, they’ve all danced if you take a look at it,” Jere said about the other contestants. There has been speculation that this season is full of trained dancers, with Corbin Bleu coming from High School Musical and pop star Christina Milian knowing how to “Dip It Low.”
“I don’t think everybody is even saying that [she’s a ringer] anyways,” Jere said. “But I really can’t talk about it. I’m not a publicist.” Hopefully Elizabeth’s fans will drown out the haters. That will be important in this high-profile season.
But how does Elizabeth’s mom really feel about her daughter joining the show? “I am excited,” she said.
