In the video package before the dance, Tony said he thinks it's "cool" that his bestie Maks is judging. He also spent some time teasing Leah about her "sexy face." Of course, she teased him right back. They're cute.
They hit the stage in sparkly purple outfits and performed a dramatic Paso Doble. Still, there were moments where Leah seemed to mess up steps, and she had a little too much stiffness for us to totally love it. This is the Semifinals, after all.
Len started by congratulating Leah on getting so far, and told her the dance was neat and precise, but he thought it was too careful, and lacked the attack Leah needed. Bruno wanted to know where his "aggressive and untamed" girl was. He also noted that she missed two turns, and needed to extend her lines more. Carrie Ann thought Leah brought the drama, but it was too internalized. She also noted the turns were off. Maks said he liked it, as a basic Paso. It had the technique and shapes needed, and he would overlook Leah stepping on her skirt. That said, he also thought Lead needed to be more emotional.
Score: 8, 8, 8, 8. 32/40.
