According to an ABC press release, Hollywood Night will feature a “spectacular” opening number before the theme night has all 11 pairs dancing for their lives. As we saw last night, the new format has someone eliminated at the end of the episode, meaning it will be someone’s last night in the ballroom. Hey, but at least they’ll go out in (Hollywood) style.
In addition to the styles of dance we’ve already seen — Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Foxtrot, and Jive — we’ll also see the Charleston and Quickstep! The release doesn’t include Contemporary, so maybe that one will be skipped this week.
Additionally, this will be the final week we see judge Len Goodman for a while. He’ll be judging Strictly Come Dancing in the U.K. for a few weeks, and on October 7, former pro Julianne Hough will return to take his spot for the night. We’re already counting down the days.
While it’s nerve-racking to know one of our favorites will go home at the end of the night, the excitement of everything happening in one episode has been fun so far. What do you think of the new format? Are you excited for Hollywood Night? Sound off below!
Catch the next episode of Dancing With the Stars on Monday, September 30 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
