Dancing With the Stars Season 17 Week 6: Best and Worst Performances

As the show reminded us ad nauseum last night, Week 6 marked the midpoint of Dancing With the Stars Season 17. We've reached the part of the competition where the stars have to take on two dances a week, and everyone needs to up their game if they want to stay in the ballroom.

So, who shown despite the added pressure, and who's going to have to work even harder if they want to avoid saying sayonara next week? Check out our picks for the best and the worst of the night below, and then sound off with your opinions in the comments.

Best: Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff, Viennese Waltz

OK. We get why the judges had some criticism here. It didn't really feel like a Viennese Waltz. Maybe this concept would have worked better as a Paso Doble? That said, we don't really care, because this was the performance of the night for us. Corbin just moves so well. And hey, we'll never complain about anyone appealing to the Game of Thrones fangirl side of us.

Score: 23/30.

Honorable Mention: Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Sasha Farber, Foxtrot

Before this week, Snooki shown the brightest during speedy, bouncy, super fun dances, but with this Foxtrot she proved she can do elegant ballroom, too. The choreography was perfect, letting her personality shine while keeping things within the realm of the style. Snooks just became a serious, serious contender for the Mirror Ball.

Score: 27/30.

Worst: The Switch-Up Challenges

This challenge was just a mess. It didn't do anyone any favors, and it was hard to follow. No thank you.

Who were your favorite and least favorites of the night? Let us know in the comments below.

Dancing With the Stars Season 17 airs on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
