Dancing With the Stars Season 17: Which MIA Pro Will You Miss the Most?

One of the most exciting things about the cast of Dancing With the Stars Season 17 is that we'll have the chance to see some new dance pros step up to the plate. The downside of that, of course, is that many fan fave pros are MIA for the season.

The most noticeable missing pro dancer is Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who has expressed disinterest in ever returning to the show as a competing pro. However, the bad boy of the ballroom is hardly the only DWTS staple who's not in the lineup this year.

Longtime pro Kym Johnson is taking a break from the show this season so that she can be a judge on Dancing With the Stars Australia instead. Other female faves who aren't participating this year include Anna Trebunskaya, Lacey Schwimmer (who hasn't been a competing pro since Season 13, but is still very missed), and Chelsie Hightower. Last season's newbie Lindsay Arnold is also out of the picture this fall.

On the male side of things, you have the lack of the beloved Louis van Amstel. Plus, last year's newbie Gleb Savchenko isn't competing, and there's always Dmitry Chaplin, who some fans continue to hope will return one day.

I love that there's pro variety!

I'd rather the fan faves stick around.
