Juan Pablo Galavis has been entertaining us every Monday as the Bachelor on Season 18 of the show. But on Monday, March 10, it all comes down to the emotional finale in which Nikki Ferrell and Clare Crawley find out whether they have a future with El Bachelor, in the most dramatic way ever.
ABC has released its official synopsis for the 2014 finale, and they’re setting up the three-hour show — the two-hour final episode, plus the live After the Final Rose special — with all the questions we’re still batting around: “Is Juan Pablo here for the right reasons? What will happen as the final two women spend the entire day with the Bachelor’s family? Will his family approve of either woman? Will Juan Pablo end up an engaged man or remain a Bachelor?”
Funny, we’re wondering all those things. The episode promo shows that Juan Pablo’s family — including his orthodontia enthusiast cousin, Rodolfo, whom we met in Miami — joins him and the final two girls in St. Lucia, and they all put their cards on the table. One hints that he’s “rude,” another says he’s “very difficult,” and another says she’s “pretty sure” he’s ready for marriage. Basically, we’re be set up to come away from this with some concerns still on our mind.
Which brings in the “After the Final Rose.” Spoiler king Reality Steve has already brought forth one piece of information that we can choose to believe or not. And while we’re used to ABC hinting that a finale will be “shocking,” we might finally believe it.
The “After the Final Rose” special will be full of past contestants, including Renee Oteri, Kat Hurd, Kelly Travis, and Sharleen Joynt from this season, as well as success stories Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried, and Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici. Why? We can only imagine it’s because there’s a question left hanging in the finale that Chris Harrison will talk about in the live show. Will the last two ladies “see a different side of Juan Pablo or will they both find a true connection?” Great question.
