Dancing With the Stars Season 18, Week 8 Best and Worst Performances

Dancing With the Stars Season 18, Week 8 brought out the best in the stars as they fought to make it through to the semifinals. Many stars shown, and even the "weaker" dances of the night were still strong.

Who stood out the most, and which dances were merely forgettable? Read on for Wetpaint Entertainment's picks for best and worst of the night, and then share your own choices in the comments below!

Best: Amy & Derek and James & Peta, Jive

This Celebrity Dance Duel Jive was the perfect way to end the night. Both pairs were totally in synch, and you could barely tell who was the pro and who was the star. Great choreography, and fantastic teamwork.

Score: 39/40.

Honorable Mention:
Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Rumba

Abby Lee Miller and her 8 can shut right up, this performance was amazing (even if a bit more Contemporary than Rumba) and everyone knew it.

Score: 36/40.

Honorable Mention:
Charlie White and Sharna Burgess, Quickstep

We thought the Quickstep would be a good one for Charlie White, and boy, were we right. He finally got his 10s!

Score: 40/40.

Danica & Val and Meryl & Maks, Samba

It's hard to call anyone the worst this week, when even this dance was very strong. Still, we did notice a lack of synchronicity at points, which bugged us.

Score: 34/40.
