The Originals Season 2 Spoiler: Hayley Will Be “Broken” and “Lost”

The Season 1 finale of The Originals Season 1, Episode 22 (“From a Cradle to a Grave”) — saw our resident mama wolf, Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin) get separated from her newborn hybrid baby, Hope Mikaelson. When Season 2 begins this fall, in what state will we find Hayley? Read on to find out!

“We’re going to see a very broken, a very lost Hayley,” Phoebe dished to E! Online. “She doesn’t know who she is anymore. She not only doesn’t know where she came from, she doesn’t know who she is right now. It’s sad and it’s heartbreaking.”

Geez, it sounds like The Originals will be just as heavy next year as it was in its freshman season — just no fake baby bump this time. Now that Hayley has transitioned into a hybrid and she is probably suffering from postpartum depression, we think this must be a toxic combo for the former werewolf. We would not want to be Hayley going into next season, that’s for sure.

So what does this mean for Hayley and Elijah Mikaelson (Daniel Gillies), her freshly minted kissing buddy? Welp, as of the first three episodes of Season 2 — which have already been filmed — Phoebe assures everyone that there have been no Haylijah saliva-swapping sessions thus far. (Ugh.)

It sounds like Season 2 is a dark place for Hayley — we just hope she can keep her life under control.

What do you think about the Hayley scoop for Season 2? What do you hope comes next for mama wolf? Hit the comments and let us know!
