To recap, Teddy knocked up longtime love Peggy Kenter (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) after his split with Rayna (though let’s be real, the former couple never lost their chemistry) and now showrunner Dee Johnson tells TVLine that if Peggy has her way, she will have Teddy’s baby.
“She’s not going to run out and get an abortion,” Dee says. And if you think the politician and dad-to-be is pleased about the news of a bun in Peggy’s oven, then think again. Teddy is “certainly not happy” about the baby, likely because of the ramifications the kiddo will have for his political career and relationship with his ex-wife.
Speaking of Rayna, Dee insists that it will take the country crooner — who is in a coma when Season 2 begins — a while to learn that Peggy is expecting.
