The Originals Season 2 Trailer: Klaus Teams Up With Marcel (VIDEO)

If you thought the drama in New Orleans had blown over after the explosive Season 1 finale of The Originals, you’ve got another thing coming. Season 2 of the Vampire Diaries spin-off looks crazier than the first, and we’re now getting a first look at what will be going on this fall.

“New Orleans is a vicious place. Your enemies are everywhere” Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) says, only filling us in on what we already know. Clearly nothing has changed since we last left NOLA. (Let’s just ignore the fact that Mikael and Esther are also alive and ready to inflict some serious damage on their supernatural kiddos.)

Turns out the moonlight rings are still stealing the hybrid’s strength. “Klaus has not set foot outside his house in months,” Francesca Correa (Peta Sergeant), leader of the Guerrera werewolves, yells. Clearly she’s pissed that Klaus hasn’t made taking him down an easy task. What could she be planning?

As for Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin), she’s having a bit of trouble adjusting to her new hybrid way of life. “I have a werewolf temper to go with my new appetite,” she says just before sinking her teeth into someone’s neck.

The last revelation of the trailer comes thanks to Cami (Leah Pipes). We never knew we could expect such truth from this one, but she’s definitely delivering this season. “You have a weapon across the river waiting to be fired,” she advises Elijah Mikaelson (Daniel Gillies), obviously referring to Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis). “Use it.”

“Would you like to get back into the fight,” Klaus asks Marcel in the final moments. Boy, we sure hope these two join forces this season to kick the Guerreras out of the French Quarter. Klaus and Marcel, bad boys for life!
