In the finale of Once Upon a Time, Captain Hook set sail with friends and enemies to save Henry from evil Peter Pan, and though we’re mostly concerned with everyone arriving safely in Neverland, we also have some questions about his love life.
If we’re being honest, Emma Swan has had a lot of suitors in Storybrooke and Fairytale Land. There’s her baby daddy, Neal, her deceased beau Graham, the now-in-Pinocchio-form August, and of course, Hook. (This isn’t to say we don’t ship her with other people, but that’s beside the point.) Considering that Neal just plummeted to his presumed death and was found by Mulan, Aurora, and Prince Phillip in the finale, she’s not reuniting with him right away. Could Hook be the guy for her?
According to Hook's portrayer, Colin O’Donoghue, it could certainly happen. “It’s probably about time he sort of found another love in his life,” Colin O’Donoghue told TVLine, referencing Hook's lost love Milah. “But if it was a toss-up between [traveling companions] Regina or Emma, I’m not sure exactly who he’d go for.”
In true Hook fashion, Colin thinks that he won’t choose one or the other — he’ll be greedy. “Maybe he’ll have fun with Regina, while he’s waiting for Emma,” he dished. “Who knows!”
We did sense some chemistry between Hook and Regina, particularly when he refused to torture her, yet got very close to her face in the final episodes. Interesting dynamics ahoy in Season 3, that’s for sure!
