Once Upon a Time Season 3, Episode 5 Burning Questions

We love all of Once Upon a Time’s many, many mysteries, but sometimes it seems like each episode introduces more questions than answers. To that end, we’ve tackled the 10 biggest questions from this week’s episode in order to make sense of everything that happened.

Here are 10 burning questions from Season 3, Episode 5: “Good Form.”

1. Could Gold’s dad be in the bamboo cage?

Our favorite new mystery on this show in quite some time comes down to four words: Who’s in the crate? Frankly, the suspense is killing us! At the moment, our top guess is Gold’s dad, since Pan has frequently referred to him, and seeing him enslaved on Neverland would be quite the shock. We know he’s about to pop up on the show, so being in a box would be a memorable way to do so.

2. Who else might be in that cage?

Certainly, the possibilities of potential crate dwellers are seemingly numerous. Gold could be in there, although he doesn’t seem like the type to end up as anyone’s captive, and the promos for next week suggest he's out and about. Tink might be, too. Or perhaps Belle somehow got nabbed, even though she seemed to be on Neverland as just a vision?

3. How will David get off of Neverland?

We’ve had a pretty strong feeling for a few weeks now that Hook would find a way to save David. Even though the spring’s water that healed him will seemingly keep him stuck in Neverland, we’re sure the show will find a way for David to leave. But how? We’re thinking that, with Henry now harnessing his magic, he’ll find a way for David to escape. We hope.

4. Seriously, people: How amazing was that kiss???

Give us a minute as we mentally relive how incredible the kiss was between Emma and Hook. Okay, we’re good. But can a Captain Swan romance actually survive in the long run, given that the show seemingly wants Emma and Neal to end up together? We really can’t decide who we want her to choose but how do you turn down someone who looks (and kisses!) like Hook?

5. Will Hook tell Emma about Neal?

We’re about to find out just how mature Hook has become these days when he decides whether or not to tell Emma that Neal is on the island. So, will Hook do the right thing and be honest about Neal? Somehow, we have a feeling Pan will make sure that this all blows up in Hook’s face, regardless of what he decides to do.

6. What kind of work did Hook do for Pan?

We now know that Hook did some type of dirty work for Pan, as Peter wants him to work for him again. But what did Hook do? And why would he work for Pan in the first place? Hook hasn’t struck us as the type to be strapped for cash per se.

7. What will Pan do to Neal?

It’s pretty darn shocking to see Neal drugged and sitting in a box, like he’s an oversized UPS package waiting to be delivered. So what exactly does Pan plan to do with Neal? Is he using him for bait, or does he have something even more painful in mind for the poor guy?

8. Does Henry still have hope?

We’re beginning to see a whole new Henry, as his sword-vs.-stick duel turns one of the Lost Boys into Scarface (meaning he has a scar on his face, not meaning that he’s a drug kingpin living in Miami). So is Henry changing for good? We’re hoping the message from his family gives him hope, but the fact that he tossed away that magic compact has us worried.

9. Is David now on Team Captain Swan?

David was clearly not Hook’s biggest fan at the start of the episode, particularly when it comes to whom his daughter ends up with. However, once Hook saves his life, it’s a different story. Funny thing about that. But will these good vibes last, or will David want Emma to end up with Neal once he comes back into the picture?

10. Are we going to see more of Emma’s dark side?

Snow is clearly not happy that Emma gave the OK for Regina to pull out a Lost Boy’s heart, which feels like foreshadowing of further tension between mother and daughter. And while we understand that Emma needs to find Henry, we’re now worried that Emma may continue to use this “by any means necessary” mentality more often than she should.
