Real Housewives of Miami Season 3 Finale Recap: Joanna Krupa’s Wedding
It's time for Joanna Krupa and Romain Zago to finally make things official on tonight's recap of Real Housewives of Miami. But will the wedding even happen, after Joanna and the ladies miss their flight to San Diego? Let's find out! And if anyone knows that hot Brazilian guy, can you give him our phone number? Thanks a bunch!
After the turmoil of the previous episode's bachelorette party craziness, it's a wonder the ladies are still in one piece. However, they missed their flight and are now stuck in the California desert, when they should be in San Diego for the rehearsal dinner. The ladies try their best to remember their drunken arguments from last night as they eventually get to their destination.
The wedding rehearsal is an elegant affair, and it's full of happy moments. Adriana De Moura sees Joanna's mom and apologizes for her involvement in the prostitution rumors about Joanna. Joanna is thrilled to see Adriana making the effort and says this is a sign that they can start to be friends. Hooray!
Meanwhile, Marta talks to Joanna and Romain and says that she thinks they're much more compatible for each other than she thought they once were. Joanna is disappointed that Marta didn't help out more with the wedding, but she is now optimistic that Marta will be more present in her life.
Lisa Hochstein informs Lea Black that she and Lenny have decided on a surrogate and are moving forward in their efforts to have a baby. This is exciting news, although we know that the surrogate ends up not working out, and so Lisa and Lenny are currently still searching from someone to carry their little one. We wish them the best.
There is still some drama this week, of course, as Lea Black and Adriana chat at the spa and realize that they'll probably never fully patch things up. Lea is just too mad at Adriana for their past and seems incapable of forgiving her. Sigh.
Alexia Echevarria is at a salon getting done up for the wedding when she talks to her son, Peter, about how much she misses him. Lo and behold, Peter is standing there behind her and will be her date to the wedding, since her husband, Herman, couldn't attend. Good call, Peter! And yes, Peter's hair could use a bit of a trim, if he doesn't mind us saying so.
Joanna Is "Expensive"? Yikes
Finally, the big ceremony is upon us. Joanna's bridesmaids make their way down the aisle, including Lisa, who is bummed that Lenny isn't there but is consoled by getting to walk down the aisle with the hot Brazilian guy. Who could blame her?
It's time for the bride to emerge, and Joanna herself looks beautiful in her gorgeous gown. We love the couple's comedic and touching vows, and we really believe that Romain and Joanna are truly special together.
The reception goes off without a hitch as well, although Romain's speech about how Joanna is "expensive" — and how he wouldn't have gotten to marry her if he didn't have money — is a bit off-putting. Or maybe he was just addressing rumors that the wedding cost a million (!) dollars. And have Joanna and Romain seriously not slept together since their wedding night? Poor Joanna!
Our Overall Thoughts
This has been a tumultuous season, but seeing all the ladies share that group hug at the end of the episode made it all worth it. And the fact that we got two beautiful weddings was great — especially since Joanna didn't keep everyone waiting for two hours like Adriana did at her wedding. No offense, Adriana.
We're truly optimistic that Joanna and Adriana can become friends in the future, and we're hoping that Joanna and Lisa will restore their friendship, although it sounds like things aren't great between Joanna and Lisa at next week's reunion. And if Joanna and Romain have only slept together once since getting married, we're a bit concerned.
Now, we can't wait for next week's reunion, which is sure to be explosive! If anyone needs us, we'll be looking for that hot Brazilian dude.
