On the Once Upon a Time Season 2 finale, Peter Pan’s story got even more twisted. After discovering that he was a creepy shadow who snatched children, he took a shocking victim: Henry!
Tamara and Greg, who we thought we were just working for the elusive “Home Office,” kidnapped him and jumped into a portal to Neverland. While Captain Hook rounded up everyone on his ship to save Henry, the question of what Pan wants from the young boy still remains.
During a Q&A with reporters on September 24, co-creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis discussed Once Upon a Time Season 3, and while they didn’t spoil everything that’s to come, a few tidbits surfaced about the mysterious shadow.
When asked about what Pan needs from Henry, Eddy answered, “That is the 11th episode.” Doesn’t get more straightforward than that.
Considering that there are 11-episode arcs with a three-month break, there will be quite a build-up to the first half’s finale. Ending it with the truth about Pan makes sense. However, don’t expect him to be a crazy villain.
“What we didn't want to do was do a villain that just wants world domination and wants to do something terrible,” Adam noted. “What we wanted was someone who had a really character-based motivation for why motivation was important to him and why belief was important to him. And that's the story that we're going to unfurl in these first eleven.”
Sounds like the Jolly Roger crew has their work cut out for them. What do you think Pan wants from Henry? Leave your theories in the comments below, and catch the Once Upon a Time Season 3 premiere on Sunday, September 29 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
