Nashville Season 2: Which Actors Won’t Return as Series Regulars?

Looks like there’s a bit of a cast shake up in Music City!

TVLine reports that two Nashville actors who were series regulars in Season 1, will only be recurring characters when the show returns for Season 2 on September 25. According to the site, Rayna Jaymes’ (Connie Britton) father, Lamar Wyatt (Powers Boothe), and Deacon’s (Charles Esten) sponsor (and former mayor) Coleman Carlisle (Robert Ray Wisdom) will only appear on the ABC hit on a recurring basis.

While Coleman has struggled to keep Deke on the straight and narrow, Lamar has often disapproved of his country superstar daughter’s life choices (stemming from his wife’s betrayal long ago), and suffered a massive heart attack towards the end of Season 2.

We're sad that Season 3 means less Lamar and Coleman, but we can look forward to seeing more of Will (Chris Carmack) and Maddie and Daphne Conrad (Lennon and Maisy Stella) all of whom were promoted to series regulars over the summer!

Are you happy with these cast changes? Feel free to share your thoughts below!
