Once Upon a Time Season 3: Will Gold Play Nice? Robert Carlyle Says…

Once Upon a Time Season 2 ended with most of the core cast aboard the Jolly Roger, headed towards Neverland to save Henry from Peter Pan. While the team looked united in their goal, it doesn't take a magic ball to foresee that there's no way this disparate group can keep the harmony up for long in Season 3.

For instance, can Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin really keep the peace, given his penchant for manipulation and his hatred for Hook? Robert Carlyle recently addressed that question in an interview with TV Fanatic.

The cast has only worked on the Season 3 premiere so far, but Robert has already seen enough to know that "nothing is every obvious with Gold."

"Even though he said, 'we're going to do it together,' are they going to do it together? ... I know that certainly in Episode 1, Season 3, something happens to change that," Robert revealed. "You very quickly discover that Gold is still very much on his own."

Interesting! We're curious to see what happens to make Gold seem "very much on his own" so quickly.

Catch the Once Upon a Time Season 3 premiere on September 29, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
