Season 4 of The Voice is long gone, but we’re still reeling over those epic battle rounds. Some of our favorites were eliminated during this phase of competition, and we’re still not over it. Jessica Childress, we’re talking about you.

After both contestants had goofy blind auditions, we weren’t sure what to expect in the battle rounds. But these three boys gave a killer performance of Tom Petty’s “Won’t Back Down.” They sounded more like a band than opponents and we were sad to see Christian leave so soon, especially after he was able to hit that killer note.
Though there seemed to be a bit of a catfight behind the scenes, these two Spanish contestants managed to give one of the most touching battle rounds we’ve ever seen. And like Blake Shelton we didn’t understand a word of it, but we didn’t have to.
At first glance these two artists couldn’t have been more different. But Caroline’s stylized, coffeeshop voice paired with Danielle’s powerhouse vocals proved to be a fantastic combination. Danielle moved on (and eventually won the competition), but Caroline also got snatched up by Team Adam Levine.
These quirky contestants really gave us a good, ole fashioned rock ‘n roll fest with this battle round. Bringing us a classic Elvis tune, we didn’t want to see either contestant go home. Unfortunately we said goodbye to Memphis, Tenn. native Patrick Dodd and Midas Whale was eliminated in the next round. Sigh, gone too soon.
Everyone (including Adam Levine) thought Amber Carrington would turn to dust against seasoned performer Sasha Allen in this battle, but the country cutie showed off the strength in her vocals and moved forward. And in the process these two made some beautiful music singing P!nk’s “Try.”
It was rock vs. soul in this epic battle on the hit James Brown tune. Judith came out victorious, but Karina was snatched up by Team Shakira and made it to the Top 16. Adam called it the best battle The Voice has ever seen, but we were partial to...
This was possibly the most shocking battle we’ve seen on The Voice stage. These two talented artists had an amazing blend and on-stage chemistry. And when Jessica went home without a steal, we couldn’t have been more upset.
