The Walking Dead Season 4: Where Are Beth Greene’s Juicy Storylines?

Months before Season 4 of The Walking Dead even began we were promised great storylines for each and every character — even the newbies. For the most part the Powers That Be have delivered, bringing us especially compelling storylines for Carol (Melissa McBride) and Tyreese (Chad Coleman), but as we head into Episode 4: “Indifference” this Sunday, we realized that we’ve seen very little of Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) thus far.

Hershel Greene’s (Scott Wilson) youngest daughter was promoted to series regular for Season 4, but other than a brief fling with the now-deceased Zach and a beautiful song for Baby Judith, we haven’t seen much of the fair-haired teen.

If Hershel dies this week (as many have speculated) Beth and her sister Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) would likely be part of a mourning storyline for Team Prison’s oldest resident, but we’re not even sure if Hershel really will pass away. And if Beth’s reaction (or lack thereof) to Zach’s death is any indication, she may not even shed a tear if her pops croaks.

Still, at the TWD Season 4 premiere party, Emily promised that viewers will see Beth evolve this season. “If you're going to live in this world and if you're going to stay with it, you're going to try on sort of different ways of dealing. I feel like that's how Beth was. At first she was like, I'm done, I don't want to do this. Then she's like finding ways to help. I think that it's such a difficult situation we all sort of go through these different stages of what's going to work for me to help me deal with this new world.”

Are you ready for more Beth, or are you more interested in some of TWD’s other characters? Sound off below!

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
