Last week we got teaser art showing Michonne (Danai Gurira), Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), and Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) seemingly on their way to Terminus, and this week AMC has gifted us with a new photo showing Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) and baby Judith making their way to this supposed “sanctuary”.
In the photo we see a tired Carol clutching a baby carrier on her back, presumably with Judith inside. There was some fear after The Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 14: “The Grove” that Carol and Tyreese (Chad Coleman) had left Judith behind at that little house in the woods, but Melissa and others quickly clarified that Ty had her in the baby carrier on his back.
Speaking of Tyreese, he is conspicuously missing from this new teaser art. It’s totally possible that Ty is just off to Carol’s side and that’s why he’s not shown in the photo, but whenever we don’t see a character with his or her group, we automatically head into panic mode.
And, to be honest, the text written over the photo of Carol and Judith isn’t doing much to allay our fears.
Michonne, Rick, and Carl’s photo from last week read, “...who will arrive?” followed by “#Terminus” at the bottom. In Episode 15: “Us” we saw that Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), Tara Chambler (Alanna Masterson), Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), Dr. Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt), Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos), Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard Jr.), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) all arrived at Terminus and met Mary, but we’re still not sold on the idea that this place is safe.
Carol and Judith’s photo says, “...who will survive?”, and ends with “#Terminus”, but are we meant to believe that since Tyreese is absent from the photo, he won’t survive long enough to see this supposed utopia? Since the photo of Michonne, Rick, and Carl from last week doesn’t match anyone who actually arrived at Terminus in Episode 15, we wouldn’t get too worked up at this point, but we’d still feel better if we had visual confirmation of Ty’s whereabouts.
Does this new photo make you worry about Tyreese? Tell us your thoughts and theories below!
The Walking Dead Season 4 finale airs Sunday, March 30, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
