The Walking Dead Season 4: What Would You Do If Daryl Dixon Died?

Take a second to Google “If Daryl dies..." Do you see all the "If Daryl Dies We Riot" gear? Yeah. There's a whole movement out there that's threatened to literally riot if anything happens to the character of Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead.

Fans have been so passionate in their insistence that Daryl is off limits, they've prompted executive producer Robert Kirkman to say they might actually get him killed. He feels like they’re daring him to kill Daryl.

Daryl isn't even in Kirkman's comic books, so we have no way of guessing where his story might go in Season 4, which starts Sunday, October 13. But we do know this: The Walking Dead’s main characters die all the time. The "no one is safe" mantra was beaten into our heads last season, and we're expecting more characters to die this season.

We don't actually think they will kill Daryl anytime soon, but Andrea is still alive in the comics and they killed her off at the end of Season 3. They’re not afraid to do shocking stuff like that, and Robert Kirkman has even said Rick Grimes himself isn't safe. We don't really buy that Rick is in danger, but the message is that Daryl is not off limits, popularity be damned.

We're just curious how you would react. Are you one of the rioters? If so, how exactly would you riot? If you wouldn't riot, would you be disappointed? Mad? Would it depend on how he died? Would you not care one way or the other? Would you even be glad? Are you tired of all the attention on Daryl? So many questions!

There’s no wrong way to eat a Reese’s and no right way to feel about Daryl, although you could end up in a ditch somewhere if you tick off too many of his fans. Face the peril without fear! Just answer honestly. If Daryl dies, I will…
