The Walking Dead Season 4: What Song Played in Episode 13, “Alone”?

As Season 4, Episode 13: "Alone" began, we got some scenes from Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gilliard Jr)'s pre-Prison life — underscored by, as is often the case in The Walking Dead, a slow, brooding country tune. The song played off the episode, too, starting when Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) confronted the band of outlaws surrounding him right up until Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) staring at the Terminus sign.

Need this song as a soundtrack for all your epic, post-apocalyptic adventures? It's"Blackbird Song," by American Idol Season 9 winner Lee DeWyze. What's up, beardo?!

Last time we saw Lee, he was speaking with Wetpaint Entertainment about his album Frames and his "baby" — a golden retriever. That was back in June of 2013, so we're super glad his career is still going strong.

Viewers who are both American Idol fans and TWD devotees don't get too many opportunities for crossover, so congrats on that, guys!

What do you think of the song? Let us know in the comments!

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on AMC.
