In the scene from next week’s episode, we see Holbrook bringing the last of the “evidence” seized from the Marin house out of the police station. “OK, this is the last of it. Where do you want it?” he asks Hanna who is waiting with her car trunk open to bring it all home. But the Liar only has eyes for a pair of killer heels previously confiscated. She digs through a box, finds the shoes, and hugs them to her chest.
“Oh, I’ve missed you,” she sighs adorably before immediately putting them on. Holbrook seems to find this funny, too: “Well, I helped an old lady find her missing cat once. I don’t think she was half as happy,” he tells Hanna. Seriously, can this guy not be an evil cop? These girls deserve a cop on their side after seasons of shadiness.
Holbrook shifts the conversation back to the mystery books Hanna was consuming in Season 4, Episode 17. “So, how’d those other books work out for you? Did you finish the one about the teeth?” Sore subject, Officer, but Hanna handles it like a champ.
“You know, they kind of creeped me out,” Hanna tells him. “I feel like I have to floss like crazy so that I don’t have to go to the dentist anytime soon.” An inadvertent side effect of “A”’s torturous shenanigans: better dental hygiene amongst the Liars.
Hanna offers to give all of her mysteries to Holbrook, but he confesses he doesn’t have much time for reading of the non-police report variety these days: “No, I’m up to my holster in all things CeCe Drake these days. Funny thing about fugitives: they’re generally a lot of paperwork… Interviews. Official reports. Even a false sighting. It’s all worth going through with a fine-tooth comb. You get details about habits and routines, personality traits. It’s the little things that are infinitely the most important. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle said that.”
A false sighting, you say? Tells us we’re in for another CeCe Drake appearance on this show because that would make our lives. We have so many questions for Ali’s blonde look-a-like: Did she really kill Wilden? Does she know Alison is alive? And, does she know Ezra? Come back, CeCe Drake — and bring Alison with you.
Are you as into Hanna and Holbrook’s friendship as we are? Do you think CeCe might be back soon? Sound off in the comments below!
