Here's the official ABC Family synopsis of the episode:
Holbrook’s partner, Lt. Tanner, comes to town, intensifying their investigation into the Liars and their possible connection to Wilden’s death. Emily panics when her parents come under undue scrutiny due to “A’s” manipulations. Hanna bristles when Caleb tries to help her through this latest crisis, and tries to shift the focus of the police investigation. And Toby finds a new source of information into his mother’s death, but it only leads to more questions.
OK. That's a lot of information. The main takeaway is that "A"'s attempt to frame the Liars for Wilden's death seems to be working. As "A" said at the end of the premiere, the truth won't set the girls free. Maybe Detective Holbrook and his partner — played by Roma Maffia — really are on the up and up, but "A" can make anyone look guilty.
We're interested to see how this story impacts everyone. Why does Hanna "bristle" at Caleb's attempt to help? What does "A" do to draw attention to Emily's family? We can't wait to find out!
