The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale: Carl Grimes Has a Cut on His Face (PHOTO)

We’ve been forewarned that this Sunday’s Season 4 finale of The Walking Dead will be a brutal hour for Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), but it also looks like Rick’s son Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) may be in for a rude awakening of his own.

AMC has released two photos from the March 30 finale, “A”. The first one shows Rick looking a little worse for the wear, with scratches all over his face, and the second picture shows tweenage Carl with a gash on the side of his face and even more blood on his neck.

The good news is that Carl isn’t seriously injured and it doesn’t look like he’s in too much pain, but we’re still curious about what happened to his face especially since we know the marauders will be looking to avenge Lou’s death by going after Rick. We mentioned the brutality in store for Rick above, and what if said brutality involves Carl in some way?

Maybe Joe and his crew get their hands on Carl and Michonne (Danai Gurira) and force Rick to make a brutal choice? In one of the promos Carl and Michonne share a meaningful hug, which could be foreshadowing some trauma — or even a death to come. We’ll just have to tune in to the Season finale this Sunday to see what happens!

The Walking Dead Season 4 finale airs Sunday, March 30, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
