Pretty Little Liars Season 4 Finale Is “The Episode You’ve All Been Waiting For”

Feeling like the next episode of Pretty Little Liars is forever away? Maybe this little teaser will tide you over. The Pretty Little Liars cast and crew is hard at work on the Season 4 finale, and showrunner Marlene King seemed to think it’s the episode we’ve all been waiting for.

“A is for answers is the episode you have been waiting for!” Marlene tweeted yesterday! “‘A’ is For Answers” happens to be the title of Season 4, Episode 24, and there must be some pretty big revelations coming our way for the episode to be so boldly titled, right? Marlene has been talking some pretty big game about Season 4 in general, earlier dubbing it the “season of answers.” And, we have to admit, finding out Ali has been alive this whole time in the Halloween ep was a pretty gigantic reveal.

How could PLL possibly top that in the Season 4 finale? It’s hard to imagine, but we are pretty confused by Ezra’s “A” status. How did he know Ali? And, why is he after her now? There’s also the possibility for a twin reveal in the finale. Though the PLL Powers That Be have said they won’t be exploring the twin theory, there have been an awful lot of twin-related clues dropped in the series thus far (most recently, the red-coated twins Hanna kept seeing in the Halloween ep). Could the Season 4 finale include a twinny reveal?

Marlene has promised not only answers this season, but closure. Will Ali finally be able to come back to Rosewood? Will Ezra be unmasked as “A” and the Liars safe (for a while)? If the Original “A” (aka Mona) operated for two years before being caught out, does that mean Uber “A”’s (aka Ezra) two-season reign will come to an end in the Season 4 finale to be replaced by an even bigger “A” in Season 5? We’re not sure where this show can go after “answers” and “closure,” but we’re willing to find out!

What answers do you think we will be getting in “‘A’ is for Answers”? Share your theories in the comments below!
