The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale: People Are Going to Be “Really Happy” (VIDEO)

“Happy” certainly isn’t a word we’ve heard used to describe the upcoming Season 4 finale of The Walking Dead airing this Sunday, March 30, but newbie Josh McDermitt (Dr. Eugene Porter) recently chatted with MTV about the conclusion of Season 4 and seemed refreshingly hopeful about what the end of the season will bring, especially now that several of our Team Prison survivors (along with Eugene, Abraham Ford, and Rosita Espinosa) have reached Terminus.

Josh calls Terminus “the big question mark,” noting that it at least seems to be an answer to everyone’s prayers. “Right now we found out that there’s this area that says all who arrive, survive. That’s great, it provides more hope,” Josh reasons. “Here we are, the group lost the prison and they’re on the railroad tracks, they’re in the woods trying to find each other. Hopefully Terminus becomes this place that everyone can kind of meet up and regroup and start to rebuild themselves, rebuild their lives. We know that Rick and Michonne and Carl are on their way there. Are we going to meet them there? What’s going to happen? I don’t know.”

We pretty much know that Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) is destined for a face-off with Joe (Jeff Kober) since he killed Joe’s friend Lou and he and the rest of the marauders are determined for revenge, but whether or not said showdown takes place at Terminus remains to be seen. And we still don’t know how Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) will fit in. He’s currently traveling with Joe’s crew, but we can’t imagine he’d help them harm Rick in any way.

Regardless of what happens with Rick, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard some positive things about “A”. Many months ago comic book creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman said, “We'll open our last half of the season pretty bleak and we’ll move them to something a little more hopeful by the end,” and Josh seems to agree. It’s great. I think people are going to be really happy with how the rest of the season turns out,” he concluded.
