Pretty Little Liars Season 4 Halloween Episode: What Questions Will Be Answered?

Pretty Little Liars Season 4 is supposedly the season of answers, but so far we've been left with more questions than concrete explanations, at least when it comes to the big mysteries. Will the Halloween episode (Season 4, Episode 13) clear anything up for good, or will it be another exercise in frustration?

Here's what the cast and crew have to say about what will — and won't — be answered come October.

Is Ali alive? According to Sasha Pieterse, we will get a straight answer about whether or not Ali is alive come Halloween. In an interview prior to the summer finale, she explained that we'd get a "peek" at the truth in the summer finale, "but you will find out for sure in the Halloween episode." We have our fingers crossed that this means we'll actually see Ali alive in the Halloween episode — and not in a situation where it could all be a hallucination.

Who is Red Coat? In the finale, we saw that CeCe had been running around in a red coat, but she wasn't the only one, and based on the evidence, the other Red Coat is the real one in charge. Will we find out who it is? According to Janel Parrish, in the Halloween episode "you’re going to find out exactly who Red Coat is and you’re gonna scream." We wouldn't be surprised if the Red Coat reveal is linked to the confirmation of Ali being alive; as of right now, anyway, the most logical explanation seems to be that Red Coat is Ali. Hopefully the Halloween episode will confirm or deny this theory for sure.

Is Ezra really "A"? Why? No, we won't learn much more about this mystery in the Halloween episode. As executive producer Oliver Goldstick explains, the episode "builds on Ezra’s culpability of being ‘A,’ but it doesn’t explain a lot of questions you’ll have as an audience. You have to wait for [Season] 4B for that."

Why does Caleb leave Rosewood for Ravenswood? Given that the pilot for spin-off Ravenswood airs right after the Halloween episode, we assume we'll find out why Caleb decides to ditch Rosewood for Ravenswood, or at least something about his connection to this mysterious town.
