The Walking Dead Season 4: How Will the Deadly Flu Be Stopped?

The biggest threat on The Walking Dead used to be those nasty walkers, but Season 4 has featured a new, arguably more terrifying threat that can’t be easily stopped in the post-apocalyptic world: a fatal flu.

The powerful sickness has already taken the lives of several people from Team Prison (let’s also not forget that it was the impetus for Carol to murder Karen and David) and we’ve already got money on the fact that Episode 5: “Internment” will contain even more illness-related deaths. So how will this invisible terror be stopped? Team Prison has a few options, but none of them seem very promising.

For starters, Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Tyreese (Chad Coleman) and Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard Jr.) went to the veterinary school to search for medicine, but considering all Bob’s bag contained was a bottle of booze, we’re not sure they were very successful.

Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) also went scouring for meds in a more residential neighborhood, but we have a feeling people will care more about the fact that Rick will be returning to the prison without Carol.

Sweet old Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson) is peddling his elderberry tea, but we wouldn’t put money on that either.

Another option for our crew is to leave the prison. While this probably won’t help those that are already infected, it gives hope to those that haven’t gotten sick yet. A change of scenery (preferably to somewhere without deadly germs) could be just what this group needs.

Do you think Team Prison can stop this outbreak, or will the flu be their downfall? Vote below!

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
