The Governor, (David Morrissey) Hershel Greene, (Scott Wilson) and little Meghan Chambler (Meyrick Murphy) all perished in The Walking Dead Season 4 mid-season finale last Sunday, and we’ve talked about each of their deaths in great detail, but one character that passed away on December 1 with little fanfare was Alisha, played by Juliana Harkavy.
Alisha was a member of the group that “Brian” commandeered to take over the prison, and she soon grew very close to Tara Chambler (Alanna Masterson). Tara had casually mentioned having a girlfriend before the zombie apocalypse, and there was clearly a spark between the two gals, who spent plenty of time together before The Governor waged a war on the prison.
Sadly, since Alisha was gunned down by child-soldier Lizzie in the mid-season finale, we won't get to see her relationship with Tara develop any further (the last thing she told Tara before she was killed was to wait for her in the woods) but Juliana apparently had high hopes for the pair.
In fact, during an interview with Geek League of America, Juliana noted that she could have envisioned Alisha ant Tara tying the knot! “I like them together too,” she said of the coupling. “I already have a whole board on Pinterest dedicated to matching camouflage wedding dresses and tree bark engagement rings. A+T forever.”
We’re pretty bummed that Alisha and Tara won’t get their happily ever after, especially since TWD could use a strong same-sex couple, but if Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) and Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) can manage to stay alive and together for a bit longer, then we might get to see a wedding at one point or another.
If you aren’t a fan of Glenn and Maggie, then let’s hope Tara is still alive when Season 4 continues in February 2014 and is able to find another gal to keep her warm at night.

The Walking Dead Season 4 returns to AMC on February 9, 2014, at 9 p.m. ET.
