The Walking Dead Season 4: Should Maggie Greene Have Entered the Quarantine Block? (POLL)

In Season 4, Episode 3, "Isolation," Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson) entered the quarantine block to provide much-needed medical attention to the flu-ridden survivors — and we asked you whether or not it was a good choice. In Season 4, Episode 5, "Internment," Hershel's daughter Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) followed suit.

After initially protesting Hershel's decision to go into the quarantined area, Maggie has been keeping close tabs on the goings-on inside. It makes sense; both her fiancé, Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) and her dad are inside! So when business finally hit the fan and walkers started taking over the cell block, Maggie heard the gunshots and sprang into action.

Even if someone had wanted to stop her, they probably couldn't have. After beating the door in with an axe was unsuccessful, Maggie threw a fire extinguisher through the window she'd been using to communicate with Hershel and Glenn (SYMBOLISM). She arrived just in time to save the day; it's likely she would have lost both her dad and her beau if she hadn't intervened. Glenn was passed out from the flu and barely breathing, and Hershel was in the middle of wrestling with a walker over a breathing tube they later used to save Glenn’s life. Thanks to Maggie, Hershel didn't get bitten, and Glenn didn't die of the illness.

There's always the possibility, though, however slight, that Hershel and Glenn would've been fine on their own — and it's possible that Maggie could have put herself at risk by entering the quarantine zone. The drugs are here, but we don't know how well they'll work.

And what if Maggie's triumphant rescue hadn't worked out? Would she have let a ton of walkers into the other cell blocks? It could have been the end of the prison.

It appears that everyone's decisions this week totally worked out. But do you still think that Maggie made the right choice breaking into the quarantined cell block? Vote with the reaction buttons below, and elaborate in the comments!
