The Walking Dead Season 4 Mid-Season Finale: Daryl Dixon’s Reaction to Carol Peletier’s Departure — Was Is Too Tame?

Since Carol Peletier’s banishment in Episode 4, “Indifference”, of The Walking Dead, fans have been wondering how Daryl Dixon would handle the knowledge of her disappearance once Rick Grimes broke the news. Finally, the time came in tonight’s mid-season finale “Too Far Gone,” but like us, some fans were pretty shocked by how calm Daryl was after Rick told him the news.

Considering the relationship between Carol and Daryl (affectionately nicknamed “Caryll” by fans), many fans (including ourselves) actually expected a physical altercation between Rick and Daryl. Alas, we weren’t given that, but instead a pretty subdued Daryl who was even willing to help Rick break the news to Tyrese that Carol in fact killed Karen and David.

However, their own meeting with Tyrese would be halted, as Tyrese made a new (and extremely creepy) discovery about one of the prison survivors feeding walkers, but even that was interrupted by The Governor making his grand entrance, complete with a tank round blasting into the prison wall.

Do you think Daryl’s reaction to Carol’s banishment was too tame, or did you expect him to be this calm? Sound off in the comments below!
