The Walking Dead Season 4: Norman Reedus Teases Daryl and Carol Reunion!

Right now Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) are all alone in the post-prison Walking Dead world, but we’re holding out hope that this unlikely duo will at least survive long enough to reunite with some or all of their former Team Prison comrades at some point.

Assuming TWD mastermind Robert Kirkman and showrunner Scott Gimple didn’t decide to kill a bunch of people off, we should actually expect a fair amount of reunions in the remaining episodes of Season 4. Aside from Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) finding out that baby Judith is alive — we’re sentimental fools at heart! — the reunion we’re most excited to see is the one between Daryl and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride).

Rick told Daryl he banished Carol moments before The Governor (David Morrissey) attacked the prison, and although we didn’t get to see much in the way of a reaction from Mr. Dixon, Norman did say that his on-screen counterpart was “not happy” with Rick’s rash decision.

But how does the 45-year-old actor feel about Daryl and Carol? “Those two people are very similar. I’ve always said, damaged people sort of gravitate towards damaged people. They see a lot of themselves in each other,” he told HuffPost Live during a sit-down interview on February 27.

And even though a Caryl reunion hasn’t been confirmed, it would be too cruel of Robert and Scott to deny us that joy. Norman, for one, is totally on board. “I will say that if they were reunited Daryl would be very happy about that. I’ve gotten very lucky as an actor on the show to work with her [Melissa] and to work with Emily; both those actresses are great.”

Do you think we’re in for a Caryl reunion soon, or will the Powers That Be draw it out to the season finale or even beyond? Tell us your thoughts and theories below!

The Walking Dead Season 4 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
