Pretty Little Liars Season 4 Speculation: Who Tried to Kill Jenna?
We’re not Jenna’s (Tammin Sursok) number one fans, but we don’t want to see the girl dead. But someone on Pretty Little Liars does. Who tried to drown Jenna in last night’s episode (Season 4, Episode 9: “Into the Deep”), and why?
For someone who hasn’t been seen since Season 3, Cece’s name has certaintly been dropped a lot in Season 4 of PLL. Most recently? After Jenna’s accident, when Shana told Spencer that Cece is the person Jenna is afraid of. The show really wants us to believe that Cece is behind all of the recent mayhem in Rosewood. Their insistence makes us suspicious (is this just another red herring?), but we have got evil vibes from Cece since we first met her. Did Cece try to kill Jenna to stop her from revealing whatever it is she knows about Ali’s death?
Jake is adorable. He’s insightful, helpful, and seems to really like Aria...He also happened to be wandering around all on his lonesome right before Jenna was found floating facedown in a nearby lake. We don’t want to sabotage Aria’s rebound unnecessarily or anything, but how much does she really know about Jake? Could he have some sort of connection to Cece Drake, perhaps, and is acting in her stead?
We want to believe Red Coat isn’t completely evil, considering she did pull the Liars and Mona out of the burning Thornhill Lodge in the Season 3 finale. However, she did seem to be in town the night Jenna almost drowned. (She was later seen breaking into a house.) And she does have a history of messing with these girls. Was Red Coat the one who tried to keep Jenna quiet?
At this point, we pretty much suspect Wren of everything. He’s “all over” next week’s episode (Season 4, Episode 10: “The Mirror Has Three Faces”), and he’s looking super-sketchy in the promo. Wren seems connected to the nefarious goings-on in Rosewood in subtle ways. He also is a Radley employee, which puts him at the center of this mystery. Now that we know Wilden was also connected to Radley (he changed the official police report for Marion Cavanaugh’s death), we wouldn’t be surprised if Wren was somehow involved in Jenna’s attempted drowning.
Radley was the best alibi Mona ever had. Now that she’s back in her old room, could she also be back to her “A”-like ways? We’re not sure why Mona would want Jenna dead, but - if Mona is on the “A” Team again - she could be acting as “A”’s minion, and “A” has never been a fan of Jenna. Did Mona sneak out of Radley her first night back, and try to take Jenan out once and for all?
