After weeks of waiting, we finally caught a glimpse of The Governor (David Morrissey) at the end of The Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 5: “Internment”. We’d heard chatter that the big bad would be back this week after a prolonged absence, but it wasn’t until the final minutes of the episode that we got a good look at him.
Episodes 6 (“Live Bait”) and 7 (“Dead Weight”) are rumored to be his two standalone installments, so his appearance at this point makes perfect sense. The question is, what will he do? Is he still hellbent on destroying Team Prison via another devastating attack, or has he changed his tune entirely?
We’ve heard rumblings about a major attack in Episode 8: “Too Far Gone” (which also happens to be the mid-season finale) so we don’t think The Gov. is truly reformed quite yet. Our guess is he attacks the prison in the mid-season ender, leaving us with a massive cliffhanger that won’t be resolved until February 2014, when Season 4 is set to resume.
Are you happy TWD’s villain is back, or were you enjoying the show without him? Weigh in below!
