How long can Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) last on her own on The Walking Dead Season 4?
During Episode 4, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) made a big speech about how Carol isn’t a scared woman anymore, but even Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) would probably be nervous to be out on his own for any extended period of time. It’s a cruel world out there — scary people and even more walkers than usual.
So what happens to Carol now?
It’s hard to say. There is a Carol in the comics, but she couldn’t be more different from the Carol of the TV show. Carol and Tyreese (Chad Coleman) are actually dating at this point in the comics, and on TV Tyreese might at least come close to killing Carol if he knew that she killed his girlfriend, Karen.
It’s possible Carol finds her way back to the prison — either driving that car “home” or connecting with another group (Sam and Ana’s old group?) and heading over. Hopefully she doesn’t end up in The Governor’s (David Morrissey) clutches. Maybe she can find a way to save Team Prison, after all the times she was saved by someone in Seasons 1-3. It’s her turn to help Daryl, instead of the other way around!
People chatter online about filming spoilers and even though we haven’t seen any photos, there was talk of Melissa McBride filming into the back half of the season, which starts with Episode 9. She may reconnect with the original Atlanta/prison group and head out on the road with them if/when they leave the prison.
There are 16 episodes to the season and it wouldn’t be a shock if Carol made it all the way. Besides, this show needs to save its strong female characters, not continue to make fans mad at them for their questionable decisions, then just kill them off (like Lori and Andrea).
