Pretty Little Liars Season 4 Spoilers: “More Challenging Work” Ahead For Pam Fields

Pretty Little Liars Season 4 is going to see the Liars’ parents as targets, and that seemed to hold true even in the first episode, when Hanna’s mom’s phone was planted in Wilden’s casket. But we’re just as worried about another Rosewood parental: Pam Fields (Nia Peeples). What is happening with Emily’s mom this season?

“It's been fun working on the show this year. more challenging work for Pam. love that!” tweeted Nia yesterday. Sounds like Pam is in for a rough ride, too.

The tough times started for Pam in Season 4, Episode 1: “A is For A-L-I-V-E” when she lost a co-worker in Wilden’s murder. Sure, he was a creep, but that still has to be unsettling when someone you see at the watercooler bites the bullet. Nia revealed a few months ago that Pam will be in three of the first four episodes of the season, and that we can “expect desperation” from Emily’s mom. Yikes!

Later in the season, it doesn’t sound like things look up for Pam. We will see Pam crying in Season 4, Episode 8: “The Guilty Girl’s Handbook,” which has us worrying about Emily and Emily’s dad, who Nia confirmed will be back later this season.

Or could Pam’s drama have something to do with her position in the Rosewood PD? So far, she seems to seriously dig her job, but that’s gotta change real fast if she has to start covering for her daughter. Does Pam find herself pulled between loyalty to her job and love for her daughter? Whatever Pam’s deal is this season, it doesn’t sound like it’s going to be pleasant!

Why do you think Pam is desperate, crying person this season? Let us know in the comments below!
