Game of Thrones Season 4 Spoilers: What Happens at the Vale?
While it may seem like we have to wait for a time when the sun rises in the west and sets in the east before Season 4 of Game of Thrones begins, we can at least speculate on what we think will occur on the show based on the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, which GoT is based on. Specifically, what’s going to happen at the mountainous region known as the Vale?

Old friends. Remember Lysa Arryn and her son Robert? She’s Cat Stark’s crazy sister, he’s her maladjusted son, and together, they rule the Vale. The two characters haven’t been seen on the show since Season 1, but they will be returning next season when Littlefinger and Sansa arrive in the Vale during the aftermath of the Royal Wedding and Joffrey’s murder. Just when we thought GoT couldn’t get any crazier, here comes Lysa Arryn back into our lives!
New friends. The Vale will also feature some brand new faces in Season 4, with the cast additions of Paola Dionisotti in the role of Anya Waynwood and Rupert Vansittart as Bronze Yohn Royce, according to Winter is Coming.net. Both characters are the heads of important houses in the Vale, and will be crucial allies or enemies to Littlefinger when he makes his move for power in the region.
All with the family. When Littlefinger and Sansa do arrive in the Vale, it’s for the nuptials of Littlefinger and Lysa Arryn, who quickly wed. Sansa, meanwhile, joins their family while posing as Littlefinger’s bastard daughter in order to keep herself out of King’s Landing, since she’s a chief suspect in Joffrey’s murder (she’s innocent, ironically Littlefinger is not). Think of it as Westeros’s witness protection program.
Eventually, Littlefinger’s creepy crush on Sansa gets in the way of his marriage to Lysa after Lysa spies him kissing Sansa. Lysa threatens to kill Sansa because she thinks she’s trying to steal her man (she’s not), but is thwarted by Littlefinger when he seems to proclaim his love for Lysa — before killing her. (He actually loves Cat, duh.) With Lysa out of the way, Littlefinger becomes Lord Protector of the Vale, but he’ll have to contend with the likes of Anya Waynwood and Bronze Yohn Royce if he wants to keep his new seat of power.
