Pretty Little Liars Season 4 Spoilers: Mona Is Getting a “Shocking” Love Interest!

Stop the presses! Pretty Little Liarsformer “A” is getting a love interest. Who might schemer Mona (Janel Parrish) be cozying up with? Janel chatted to E! Online about the juicy new storyline.

“Mona finally gets a love interest,” Janel told E!. “I think she deserves one and it’s kind of a shocking one, so I think fans will love it.” While we’re not sure if Mona deserves anything, we’re willing to let this play out — especially given what seemed like an effort on Mona’s part this season to reconcile with ex-BFF Hanna (though, we’re still not sure what she was doing at the bed and breakfast in the summer finale).

As for who the lucky lad (or lady?) might be, the “shocking” descriptor doesn’t give us much to work with. Mona has previously dated Noel Kahn (ew) and “serial dated” members of the lacrosse team. We think Lucas (Brendan Robinson) would definitely qualify as a change of pace. He’s nerdy and artsy and, you know, mostly nice. They also have their bullied pasts to bond over. We kind of hope it’s Lucas — he hasn’t had anything interesting to do in forever.

Another “shocking” possibility would be Wren (Julian Morris), who seems to have a thing for Liars. Now that Mona has quasi-membership to Team Liar, could Wren be falling for her, too? The two didn’t seem very close in Season 4, Episode 10: “The Mirror Has Three Faces,” but things change. They both seem to know more about the “A” plot than they’re letting on to the Liars. Could they be in cahoots… and knocking boots? (Yep, we went for the rhyme.) Also, just because, what if it was Jason DiLaurentis? It's about time he (and his abs) resurfaced in Rosewood...

Who do you think Mona’s next victim — err, love interest — will be? Share your theories in the comments below!
