Game of Thrones Season 4: See the Stark Family — Or What Remains of Them!

We have mixed feelings about new photos of the Stark family from the upcoming season of Game of Thrones. On one hand: Yipee! New photos! How many days until April 6 again? On the other: There are so few Starks remaining. The Red Wedding never forget.

In new black and white posters released from Season 4, we get a glimpse of Sansa (Sophie Turner), Arya (Maisie Williams), Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright), and Jon Snow (Kit Harington). All four are caught looking off into the distance except for Arya, who, being a full-on killer and all-around badass, looks the camera straight on.

It’s her catchphrase, “Valar Morghulis,” that’s emblazoned across the bottom of each black and white photo, which all burn red at the bottom.

That black, white, and red all over motif continues in a special snippet of the Stark family come Season 4. In what we’ll refer to as direwolf vision, we zoom around the woods of the north, getting flashes of each of the four Starks still standing.

Jon’s seen looking somber (what else is new?) while Sansa gazes up at the sky, Littlefinger’s (Aidan Gillen) voice creeping in the background. Next comes Arya, wielding a sword much larger than Needle, followed by Bran the Treehugger.

“Valar Morghulis” closes out the sneak peek, and while all men must die, we’ve got the details on which actually do in the next season. Want to know? Read up on our Season 4 coverage for all the latest news.
