Game of Thrones Season 4: What We Learn From the Foreshadowing Promo

The anticipation continues to build for Game of Thrones Season 4, with HBO continuing to release snippets of entertainment to entice us for the new season. There have been Vines of the trailer, a trailer for the trailer, the official trailer, a behind the scenes trailer, the announcement of a 15 minute behind the scenes special called Game of Thrones Ice and Fire: A Foreshadowing, and now, a trailer for said special. Keep ‘em coming, HBO!

So in this latest promo, what exactly do we learn? We learn that according to Peter Dinklage, “Tyrion has never been faced with this much humiliation,” which makes sense, considering he’s seen in handcuffs throughout the official trailer. We also see him look on with disappointment as Joffrey appears to chop a book in half with a sword.

We also get a glimpse of an intimate reunion for Cersei and Jaime. Does this mean these two are going to be a thing again? What about Brienne!?

Meanwhile, Maisie Williams, who portrays Arya, declares, “The Starks are coming back stronger,” and we see Arya wielding a sword (possibly Needle?), Sansa dressed like the grim reaper, and Bran spacing out by a tree as Hodor looks on. How all of this translates to strength, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Kit Harington says this is, “Far and away the most action-packed season,” and we see a lot of shots of Kit in action as Jon Snow battling foes, quite possibly wildlings. There are also glimpses of several characters fighting, including the Hound, his brother the Mountain, and new character the Red Viper.

Check it out for yourself here!

The Forshadowing special premieres on HBO February 9th, at 8:45 pm EST.
