The Walking Dead Season 4: When Does Filming End?

We’re only one fourth of the way through Season 4 of The Walking Dead, but the cast and crew have been hard at work on the Georgia set of the hit AMC show for months. Much of the show’s cast took a well-deserved break from filming last weekend and headed to Walker Stalker Con in Atlanta, a fan-run event for those that just can’t get enough of TWD.

The convention was a hit, and even included several panels with various cast members, opportunities for fans to take pictures with their favorite stars, and much more. Wetpaint Entertainment sent our own reporter, Nicole Pomarico, over to cover the convention and she came back with some great scoop.

We’ll bring you some more character-specific info in a bit, but for now we think you should know that the cast and crew are just days away from wrapping on Season 4. During a panel that included lead actor Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), it was revealed that Season 4 is expected to finish filming on November 22.

Although we’re saddened to know that this season is practically in the can, we’re hoping that we can get our hands on some great intel as filming of the Season 4 finale draws near. The mid-season finale (Episode 8) is scheduled to air on December 1, and after a brief break the drama is expected to return around February 2014, meaning the season finale will likely air in May 2014.

Will The Governor be making an appearance in the season ender? Will we say goodbye to a crucial character (as is often the case with TWD season finales)? Start speculating below!

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
