Pretty Little Liars Season 4: Who Should Aria Date?
Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) have officially called it quits (for now), but that doesn’t mean our bohemian beauty doesn’t have other prospects. On Season 4, Episode 2 of Pretty Little Liars, we were introduced to Aria’s first post-Ezra love interest, martial arts instructor Jake (Ryan Guzman), but it won’t necessarily be her only prospect. With the news that all of the Liars will have competition for their affections in Season 4, we speculate on who might be vying for Aria’s heart.
Obviously, newcomer Jake has the lead in this competition, and we have to assume he will be one of the guys interested in Aria in Season 4. It also sounds like he will be sticking around for awhile. Ryan recently tweeted that he had his first shirtless scene coming up, which makes us think things could be getting serious between he and Aria. The question is: will he be able to hold onto our favorite Rosewood writer?
Now that we are (mostly) assured that Jason isn’t dead, we can’t help but hope for further exploration of the chemistry between Jason and Aria. They had a good thing going in Season 2, and even shared a kiss, but their potential love was halted by Aria’s lingering feelings for Ezra. Now that she has decided to move on, we wonder if Aria will let herself explore the chemistry she has with Ali’s big brother. We hope so!
Remember when Holden and Aria were using each other as decoys so she could continue to see Ezra behind her parents’ backs and he could continue to practice martial arts behind his parents’ backs? Wouldn’t that make the perfect wedding toast story? These two have known each other since they were kids and have a great time together. There’s the added complication of Holden having a potentially fatal heart condition, but maybe Aria can fix his ailing heart...
Gas Station Guy
Word on the street is that there is a new character about to be cast, and his name is Travis. He is described as “a high school-aged gas station employee who possesses a ‘reserved and rugged’ quality and a ‘solid and moral’ center,” and we think he sounds like definite love interest material — the only question is, for whom? We could definitely see Aria going for the “reserved and rugged” type, as she is an introspect herself. We await further information about thsi mystery character and which one of the Liars he interacts with.
Bear with us on this one. Sure, Noel is a total jerk, but jerks can change, right? Noel really seemed to have feelings for Aria when they briefly saw one another... then, he blackmailed Ezra and Aria realized that she only had eyes for Mr. Fitz. But what if this immature jock changed? Or what if we learned something about his past that explained his erratic, douchey behavior? If we’ve learned anything on this show, it’s that people are rarely who they first seem to be.
A hookup between Ezra’s younger brother, Wesley, and Aria would make Fitzgerald family gatherings super awkward, but these two totally have a connection! They kissed in Season 3 and, if not for Aria’s feeling for Ezra (and Wes’ subsequent skedaddle), they might have developed into something more than friends. These two are victims of circumstance, but those circumstances have changed. It would still be a little weird, but we think Aria deserves to explore their connection. Who knows? Maybe she’s been dating the wrong Fitzgerald this entire time.
Who do you think will be battling it out for Aria’s affections in Season 4? Did we miss anyone? Let us know in the comments below!
