The Vampire Diaries Season 5: 3 Things We Want For Caroline

Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) is heading off to college in Season 5 of The Vampire Diaries, and we can’t wait to see how the Type A overachiever deals with life as a freshman vampire. Here are three things we’d like to see for Caroline in the upcoming season.

Judgy Caroline

We can’t wait for Caroline to cast judgment on a whole new slew of people and places and we say this with the utmost affection. Whether it’s concerning Elena’s love life, the newest baddie in town, or a friend’s fashion choice, Caroline has the best way of proclaiming exactly what she’s thinking to the world (and TVD viewers). Now that Caroline is at Whitmore College, she has a whole new set of factors to compliment or complain about. We hope TVD gives Caroline’s judgy-ness the time it deserves.

Girl time

One of our favorite dynamics on TVD is the continuing friendship between Caroline, Elena, and Bonnie. It’s also a dynamic that can get lost in the love triangles and supernatural angst of the show. Now that Elena and Caroline are away at college together, we TVD takes the time to show these two BFFs bonding. We’re guessing this theme will have to be addressed what with the “Bonnie is dead” bomb still waiting to drop we just hope there’s also time for some light, fun moments between these childhood friends (and Bonnie, if possible).

Don’t forget about Klaus

We know that it’s unhealthy to hold onto this Klaroline thing now that Klaus is off gallivanting on a completely different show, but we can’t get their Season 4 finale convo out of our heads. You know, the one where Klaus tells Caroline, “[Tyler]’s your first love. I intend to be your last. However long it takes.” Creepy, sure, but mostly romantic. Like Klaus, we’re still holding out hope for these two unconventional lovers somewhere down the road. We don’t need Caroline to plaster her dorm room bulletin board with pictures of Klaus that would be a tad unrealistic but an affectionately grumbled reference to the vamp every once-in-awhile wouldn’t go amiss.
