At the end of Season 4, Kurt was still very much in a relationship with Adam in New York, but it looks like that’s all about to change when Glee returns for Season 5. Will he say yes to Blaine’s proposal? Klaine fans are counting on it! And we here at Wetpaint Entertainment are hoping for a romantic Klaine reunion as well when the FOX series returns for its fifth season.
But what else do we want for Kurt come Season 5? Here’s what we here at Wetpaint Entertainment want to see happen for our favorite Warbler.
Spend quality time with Rachel, but don’t live in her shadow. Our two favorite Glee divas went through a bit of a rough patch in Season 4. (Remember the Rachel’s boytoy Brody? We’ll never forgive him for driving a wedge between our beloved Hummel Berry.) So we hope Kurt and Rachel will be able to spend some quality BFF time with each other this season. Sure, it sounds like Kurt will be on honeymoon avenue with Blaine, and Rachel and Santana will have their hands full at the diner, but that doesn’t mean Kurt and Rachel won’t have time to spend together! After all, given how important Finn was to both of them, we think these two are going to have to lean on each other for emotional support. However, at the end of the day, we want Kurt to succeed at NYADA and find his own voice. After a year of self-discovery, it’s time for Kurt to become a star in his own right.
To be happy with Blaine. To pop the question or to not pop the question? Who cares! We know Klaine fans are dying for a proposal this season — and it looks like they’ll get one! — but as long as these two lovebirds are happy, we’re a-OK with whatever they decide. Now, we hope they don’t rush down the aisle after Blaine gets down on one knee (after all, he’s still in high school), but we’d like to see Klaine take a huge step forward in their relationship. After spending most of Season 4 broken up, we think these two deserve some happiness (so stay away, Sebastian!).
More time with Burt! OK, we’ll admit it, our favorite ‘ship on Glee isn’t romantic at all — it’s the relationship Kurt shares with his dad Burt. It’s been our favorite dynamic in the series since Season 1, when Kurt came out to Burt on Episode 4 (“Preggers”). It was heartfelt and memorable, and surprising, each scene between these two Hummels just gets better and better. (Don’t even get us started on Season 2’s “Grilled Cheesus.” Can you say sob-fest?) Burt’s cancer storyline was finally resolved in Season 4, so we’d love to see more father-son bonding in Season 5.
Gleeks, what do you want to see happen to Kurt this season? Do you think he and Blaine should get married? Sound off in the comments!
Catch the Season 5 premiere of Glee on Thursday, September 26, 2013, at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
