Game of Thrones Season 5 Begins Filming in More Locations

Game of Thrones has announced new cast members for Season 5, so now it’s time to start filming the damn thing. And whaddya know, it looks like they already are.

We already reported that some filming was apparently underway in parts of Northern Ireland, and it now seems like the production has moved to the beaches of Portsevart Strand. Winter Is Coming has gathered a number of photos from across social media that depict what looks to be a major production on the beach, along with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) and some yellow-coated, Dornish-looking fellows. Reportedly, filming will take place in the area until August 11th, with public access prohibited on the 6th and 7th.

Elsewhere in the country, members of the cast are making their presence known, with Night’s Watch members John Bradley (Sam), Owen Teale (Alliser Thorne), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), and Ben Crompton (Dolorous Edd) popping up in fan photos across Belfast, and surprisingly, one of them includes the decidedly non-Night’s Watch member Indira Varma (Ellaria Sand). It seems like a ton of the show is being filmed in Northern Ireland at the moment, so now seems like a good time to visit the UK side of the emerald isle!
