Pretty Little Liars Season 5: Caleb Makes “Out of Character Moves”
Ali isn’t the only character returning to Rosewood in Pretty Little LiarsSeason 5—Caleb Rivers (Tyler Blackburn) will be attempting to reintegrate into Rosewood society, too. Though he might not be returning from the dead, that doesn’t mean Caleb won’t have his own struggles that, according to Tyler, will make Caleb act in “out-of-character” ways...
Tyler talked to The Wrap about Caleb’s mindset upon his return in Season 5, Episode 5 (“Miss Me x 100"), explaining that the loose ends he left in Ravenswood have left the character struggling.
“You know Ravenswood ended in a very mysterious way, so I think he comes back not fully understanding what has happened,” Tyler explained. “And he does come back to Rosewood thinking that things might just go back to the way they were before and he kind of wishes Ravenswood never happened. But he’s also very lost and damaged and Hanna, who he’s in love with, is with another guy. He just has so much on his plate, so he comes back in a pretty dark place. And it leads to some out-of-character moves on his part.” Poor Caleb.
Out of character, you say? Might this be a reference to the Caleb/Ali kiss that’s rumored to go down in Season 5? We can actually see how these two characters might connect, given that they’re both former Rosewood residents returning to a town that has changed in their absence. Caleb’s return to town happens to coincide with Ali’s first day back at Rosewood High. Might these two insiders-turned-outsiders find a friend in one another?
What “out-of-character” behavior do you think Caleb might be referring to? Do you think he and Hanna will eventually get back together? Sound off in the comments below!
