The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Canadian Promo: Delena Sex, College Fun, and Worried Damon (VIDEO)

Is it just us or do Canadians know how to do their television promos right? The Canadian promo for Season 5 of The Vampire Diaries was just released and it manages to be both ominous and sexy at the same time. Read on for more details!

Delena sexy time

The trailer starts with what appears to be Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) having fun in bed together at the Salvatore mansion and it’s kind of heartwarming to hear Elena giggle. It’s been awhile since we’ve heard sounds of joy pass those lips. Katherine? She’s having less fun, as we see in the hot mess “It’s been a long summer, Damon” version of her we also got in the American trailer.

College is fun

Next, we get a glimpse at Elena and Caroline (Candice Accola) at Whitmore College. “To us. And college. And being functional vampires,” Elena says, optimistically, before the roomies tap their blood bags together in a cheers-like fashion (which is kind of awesome). Cut to Elena and Caroline looking excitedly around campus. “We’re here,” Caroline tells Elena. Ghost Bonnie (Kat Graham) lingers next to them, also managing to look cheery despite the fact her best friends can’t actually see her. “We’re all here together,” Bonnie says.

Stefan is suffering

Meanwhile, back in Mystic Falls, Damon seems to have worked out that Silas isn’t Stefan (Paul Wesley). “Where’s Stefan?” he asks the Stefan-pretender, in a stirring mix of curiosity and deep concern that makes our hearts miss a beat. “He’s suffering. Like I suffered,” Silas tells Damon. Cut to Stefan blowing bubble underwater...and us yelling, “He’s in the quarry, Damon!” at the computer screen.
