The Walking Dead Season 5: Daryl Dixon, Another Character (Carol?) Get Own Episode

It sounds like the buddy system may still be in effect in The Walking Dead Season 5. Season 4 gave us a few episodes that just focused on mini groups — including Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) in “Still” — and we may see another episode like that in Season 5.

The Huffington Post just talked to Norman Reedus and asked about his favorite scene to film in Season 5. “There’s a whole episode that’s sort of specific to my character and to another person’s character. There’s some scenes in that that are so large in scale that it just felt so epic ... it’s pretty mind blowing.”

What episode will that be and which character will join Daryl?

*Spoiler alert*

According to filming spoilers, Daryl/Norman has been filming with various characters, but he was recently seen shooting scenes in downtown Atlanta with Carol Peletier/Melissa McBride, and the two characters were involved in some kind of van stunt. So Norman could be talking about a Carol/Daryl episode in the first half, maybe Episode 5 or 6? Just a guess.

We also wouldn’t say no to a Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln)/Daryl Dixon episode, since the Rickyl bromance needs more air time. Norman told HuffPo that Daryl has “always been the Robin to Rick's Batman, and I think he’s very happy being Robin. He’s always got his back and he’ll do anything to keep his people alive and he’s been through so much.” When asked which cast member he’d want on his team if the zombie apocalypse actually happened, Norman answered, “Probably Andrew. Andrew and I just crack up all the time, he’s definitely my BFF on the show. He would totally keep me safe. A budding romance is in the works.”

Norman + Andy = Love. If they don’t get their own episode this season, maybe they’ll get one in Season 6. In the meantime, are you excited to hear that Daryl will get another focused episode with … whoever?

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
